RSMSC travels to watch a Men's College Soccer Game
The boys youth teams at RSMSC traveled to Huntington Beach, CA to watch the Men's NJCAA college game between Irvine Valley College and Goldenwest College, with over 200 people in attendance RSMSC had the opportunity to cheer on IVC to a 5-0 victory over Goldenwest. The boys had the opportunity to see the game be played at a much higher level, and influx of goals and defending that provided a shutout on the night. Overall their spirit and passion for the game was noted as they charged the field at halftime to shoot on goal or the opportunity to interact after the game with college players who once sat in their shoes and now play the game as student-athletes at a much higher level. The impact was mutual on the evening as the players and staff were very thankful to have more visiting fans than the home team and for the boys who's motiviation and passion can be driven to the next level.
On a side note the RSMSC watched two of their coaches Darren Whitty (assist) and Mark Shadrack (goal and assist) have very successful evenings.
