RSMSC gu16 Team Clinches League Championship with WIN                              
 
On Sunday afternoon at Cox Sports Park in Ladera Ranch, CA the RSMSC gu16 team clinched a CSL League Championship with a 1-0 victory over HB Xtreme.  The victory and league title WILL GUARANTEE PROMOTION for the gu16 when they move to gu17 in the fall of 08'.  Over the course of the season like any team they had their positives but with this group of girls who focused their energy on training and playing fundamentally sound soccer, none of the usual distractions affected them throughout the season (travel, family, school, friends, secondary sports etc.) the team was always together and the play progressively better game in and game out.  This group of girls deserve everything they have accomplished in the past three months and now as they tone down and transfer into their high school programs their support and focus will remain there, as 14 girls play at 6 different South Orange County high schools.  Their return in Feburary like all players will allow them to re-focus their energy on a run through the state/national cup tournament.  "As a club any League Championship is special and it provides a reward for those players who as a team train so hard and to the club it provides credibility that doing things fundamentally correct will provide results, their is no sacrifice for quality in anything you do as a team,"  stated Head Coach and DOC-Technical Director Shaun Harris our club and our teams get everything they put in to it and our technical staff works very hard making sure every player and team is individually sound and collectively successful, at RSMSC we are ONE...
