4/23/08 RSM Storm OFFICIALLY Partners with EVERTON FC of the English Premier League
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA today RSM Storm Soccer Club is proud to announce that it has entered into an OFFICIAL partnership with English Premier League club Everton FC. This will be the first partnership of any youth competitive soccer club with a worldwide professional soccer club with such history and tradition as Everton FC of the Barclays Premier League. The partnership between the two clubs is set to enhance RSMStorm’s Academy by implementing three-year player development program which will raise the level of soccer across Orange County and throughout Southern California and eventually across the United States. The ongoing partnership will allow for exclusive marketing and development programs to the RSM Storm membership (players, parents and staff) and will implement Everton’s online player development tool -evertonway – which will assist with the current RSM Storm player development curriculum. Everton will play an important role in the current curriculum for developing players through RSM Storm and jointly through the Everton Way youth academy model. The deal is a further boost to Everton in the US, who have already established flourishing Everton Way partnerships in Florida, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and now with RSM Storm in California.
The Everton Way is proving a real success and will assist RSM Storm and their technical staff who will use the program to expand to the next level in player development. As part of the partnership, Everton Academy coaches will provide technical assistance to the RSM Storm staff and subsequent annual visits from Everton FC coaches, players etc. will be put in place to help the NEW Academy develop over the three-year period. Head of International Football Development for Everton FC, Tosh Farrell noted: “This is an exciting time, not only for RSM Storm but also for Everton.
