Shaun Harris named California Baptist University Associate Men’s Soccer Coach
 
RSM Storm SC DOC-Technical Director SHAUN HARRIS was named the California Baptist University, (CBU)Associate Men’s Soccer Coach on Monday 3/31/08.  CBU a four year university which competes within the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), the men’s soccer program is a fully funded athletic program that competes in the GSAC (Golden State Athletic Conference).  Shaun moves from IVC where he has spent the past two seasons coaching within the OEC (Orange Empire Conference), IVC has seen the program gain consistency by appearing in the past two Regional Finals and two top 10 state rankings and two top 20 national rankings according to the NSCAA.  “For me this is a step to compete at a national level, after you finish playing and move onto coaching – it becomes an opportunity to teach the game, give players an opportunity to have an equal to better experience which you were fortunate to have, develop players and educate them on the proper way to play the game.”  “For me CBU was the ideal choice they are a quality university and they have been successful in a number of sports and have won consistently.  This attributes to what I believe to be a quality administration led by the president all the way down to the support of the athletic department and its athletic director.” 
 
Shaun is excited to join the CBU family and help build a quality men’s soccer program where student-athletes can succeed academically, within the community and on the soccer field.  Shaun is also excited to know that CBU supports his role he holds within the community overseeing a competitive youth soccer program here in our community of the Saddleback Valley.  RSM Storm Soccer Club has been one of the quickest growing youth competitive soccer programs within South Orange County under the guidance of Shaun and the technical and administrative staff and has focused on player development and community involvement, has focused on quality of the player selected and maintaining their growth from year to year.  RSM Storm Club President TOKI RATHOR stated “having our director move up in the ranks of college soccer can only be a positive for our organization, Shaun already is very well diverse within the soccer community but competing at a growing university will allow him to continue to guide our staff, players and parents on what it takes to see a youth player progress from high school to collegiate soccer.”  “We know Shaun and CBU will be successful and wish them the best of luck, CBU has know inherited 500+ Lancer supporters by this appointment.” 
 
Shaun will continue to direct RSM Storm soccer Club as the DOC-Technical Director and will work directly with the BU1111 and GU1313 teams.
