11/25/08 RSM Storm BU16’s Claim CSL Silver South Championship
The RSM Storm BU16 team wrapped up their Fall Campaign this past weekend, after reaching the Elite 8 of League Cup Competition. A fine run of form for the team, as the players had earlier completed an undefeated season in the Silver South Bracket, finishing with a record of 12-0-2. During the CSL Season, the team scored 41 goals and conceded only 4 through the 14 matches.
The team went on to score an additional 20 goals during the League Cup competition and took their unbeaten streak to 24 matches, having won their final summer warm-up tournament in Santa Barbara earlier in August. From August through November a season to build off and remember.
“It was a special season by a special group of players”, said Coach Tom Wall. “Every member of the squad contributed to the success of getting the team promoted, and what makes me most proud is how they placed the team before themselves,” he continued.
We wish the boys good luck and good health as they move to their various high school teams, and look forward to their return to RSM Storm and the state and regional tournaments in the spring.
