RSM Storm EMPHASIS of Development drive passion Minimize

12/15/08  RSM Storm EMPHASIS of Development and Culture drives Passion

RSM Storm in 2008 showed continued signs of growth and a passion to develop youth soccer players using development and longevity as its drive. The goal of RSM Storm Soccer Club remains the same since restructured in 2006 a COMPETITIVE - DEVELOPMENT – COMMUNITY model. The mission of the staff consisted of former and current college and professional players and coaches drives its vision that now is important in the progression of the player but remains that the long term objective of providing a competitive atmosphere – development of individual talent that translates to team success within a model that is derived around the importance of a community organization that gives back and represents its partners on and off the field at the highest standard.

The game of youth soccer needs to constantly re-define its goals and the most important tool for parents and players with competitive experience is to do their due – diligence when choosing a place for their kids to compete. For new players to competitive soccer the most important factor is to develop a relationship and understand the philosophy you are surrounding your children with. Either way a player and/or parents need to educate themselves through people they trust and a system they believe in, today’s results do not produce the player of tomorrow but the system and structure, coaches a player surrounds themselves with will help them achieve both their short term goals of progression and long term objectives within the sport.

The RSM Storm philosophy of development first has shown tremendous signs of positivity in an organization that has grown from 6 to 16 teams from 06’ to 09’ and with all of the players showing progression in their ability and knowledge of the game while over a third of those teams beginning to compete within higher brackets (silver-silver elite and gold) – the culture which RSM Storm promotes to its members allows for it to maintain the growth it has seen. Player development and individual progression and collective team success has been achieved in a number of groups and this continued vision drives the passion of the growing staff and coaches around the players on a daily basis.

Beyond the goals of providing a competitive structure in a highly driven region, while focusing on player development as the priority of the staff to teach players on the necessary ways to be successful within the sport. The third component to its success remains in its proven commitment to charity and community outreach. RSM Storm while inspiring youth players to reach their goals at the highest level within the sport – aspiring them to be quality citizens off of the field and to give back to the community that supports them remains as important.

2008 proved to be another great year toward the continued growth as an organization, RSM Storm Soccer Club is in good form to continue to expand. The RSM Storm started strong while showing a competitive spirit highlighted by the (gu13 QF state cup appearance) and (bu11 QF state cup appearance) the summer brought more success winning three cups in the summer (gu16 – Irvine Summer) (bu11 – Copa Del Mar) (bu16 – Santa Barbara) and four other groups as finalist (gu16 Irvine Spring) (bu11 Irvine) (gu13 Copa Del Mar) (bu12 Copa Del Mar) success again in the league with (bu16 – Silver South Champions) (bu10 – Bronze South Finalist) and with 10 of its fifteen teams finishing in the top half of their groups.
