1/24/08  RSMSC Coach called into US Women’s National Team
 
Earlier this week gu12 coach Lindsey Huie was recalled to the US Women’s National Team winter camp.  Lindsey joins a new head coach and group of players from last summers FIFA Women’s World Cup in China, a new group of young players and a resurgence of players who have past national team appearances.  It is a tremendous honor at any point in a persons career to wear the shirt of your country.  The group which begins camp 2/1/08 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA will all compete to fill in the final roster for the upcoming Algrave Cup in March.  The knowledge gained by playing at the international level and the ability to be a role model for young girls within youth soccer is where a club like RSMSC benefits from staff coaches who have all played the game at the highest of levels in college, national team appearances and/or professional playing and coaching experiences.  DOC and Technical Director Shaun Harris said “this opportunity for Lindsey is one very few players get and us as a cub, our players wish Lindsey the best of luck through the process”  he continued to say that “the national team is the highest honor a player can receive and should be a priority” upon the completion of camp Lindsey will return to the club as part of the technical staff until then GO USA and we wish Coach Lindsey the best of success.
